| Climate Change and Sustainability have become areas of critical interest in the 21st Century. The GEES disciplines have a key educational role to play in developing students who are knowledgeable about, and skilled to contribute to future societal responses to the climate change challenge. The conference compliments the ‘Pedagogy of Climate Change Session’ at the Annual Conference of the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) held in August 2008. It will also showcase the resources and learning outcomes derived from the GEES Subject Centre 'C-change in GEES Project' (Open licensing of climate change and sustainability resources in the Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences). The OER programme, funded by the Higher Education Funding Council (HEFCE) and the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC), aims to make a wide variety of learning resources , created by HE academics, freely available.
