The Swedish GI organisation ULI and GI Norden (the Nordic umbrella organisation for geographic information), in cooperation with its European counterpart EUROGI, are organising a Nordic seminar on Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) at GEOINFO 2011.

The main aim of the seminar is to exchange views and experiences on the current status of SDIs in the Nordic countries as well as to make relevant comparisons with other countries or regions in Europe. The seminar aims for a strong user perspective. Other aims are to share visions for future development of SDI in the Nordic region, to facilitate future cooperation on SDI in the region, also between scientists and users, and to make seminar presentations available for a wider audience.
