Using an integration of PenBay’s in-building data collection methodologies and Trimble’s precise mapping technology, they were able to provide the City of Philadelphia with accurate data and a 3D view of the City’s busiest underground areas for effectively addressing facility management, public safety and real property challenges.
"Philadelphia is excited to be at the forefront of this tremendous advance in 3D in-building and sub-surface spatial data collection. Combined with other City initiatives, such as video surveillance and advanced enterprise GIS, we believe this will play a pivotal role in achieving the vision of making Philadelphia the safest large city in the nation." – Jim Querry, Director of Enterprise GIS, City of Philadelphia PenBay has a passion for spatial information and believes that working to create solutions for understanding the built environment is essential - an area where some of the most valuable assets in the world reside and have yet to be measured or mapped.
