Operational satellite monitoring of ice and shipping situation in Azov Sea has been conducted by ScanEx RDC since late January. The RADARSAT-1 radar images acquired on February 2, 6 and 9 and RADARSAT-2 image from February 4, 7 and 12, as well as ENVISAT images from February 2 and 10 detected a lot of ships that were in the south-western part of the Azov Sea with the most complicated ice situation.
