ESRI and EuroGeographics Platinum Sponsors of GSDI 11

The GSDI-11 event promises to become extra interesting because it takes place close to the heart of the INSPIRE program". EuroGeographics, the association representing National Mapping, Land Registry and Cadastral Agencies in more than 40 European countries, is also heavily involved. It's executive director, Dave Lovell, states: "We are building bridges between our members and the many communities of users who rely on their authoritative information.

We are pleased to have the opportunity to improve and enrich these inter-connections in the wider community of this conference and look forward to using the GSDI 11 World Conference to further expand the use of spatial data infrastructures for the benefit of all." The eleventh GSDI World Conference will take place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands from June 15 through June 19, 2009.

The theme of the eleventh edition is 'Building SDI Bridges to address Global Challenges'. The conference promises to become a historic event as GSDI joins forces with both the Third European INSPIRE conference, organized by the European Commission Joint Research Council (JRC), and the Dutch National Conference on Spatial Data, organized by Geonovum and RGI. This unique combination of conferences offers wide opportunities to share, renew and expand both knowledge and networks. The first call for papers is published at http://www.gsdi.org/gsdi11/papers.html. Please, visit http://www.gsdi.org/gsdi11 for more information. If you want to secure your participation in the GSDI 11 World Conference, it is now possible to register here as well!
