Autodesk to Become Gold Sponsor for Citrix iForum Benelux 2009

Autodesk’s sponsorship builds upon an already strong technology collaboration between the two leading corporations; Autodesk and Citrix jointly won the 2009 Alliance Excellence Award from the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP) for their development of a pilot programme using AutoCAD Map 3D and Citrix XenApp Server software.
“We are excited about the recognition we received from the Alliance Association, it is a testament to collaborative best practice and a good achievement for our two companies,” says Miikka Arala, head of marketing for geospatial, Autodesk.
Citrix iForum Benelux 2009 expects to attract 1,500 delegates who will hear presentations by industry leaders on how to successfully manage IT infrastructure. There will also be on-site technology labs and live demonstrations from Autodesk, showcasing the 2010 AutoCAD Map 3D hosted via Citrix, and other visualisations that further underscore the global alliance between these leading corporations.
Autodesk and Citrix have collaborated to provide large organisations – such as those in the utilities, telecommunications and government sectors – with greater efficiency and flexibility in their use of Autodesk applications and on-demand access to Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D through Citrix XenApp™ software. Designers, engineers, and managers in these sectors depend on AutoCAD Map 3D for the integration of CAD and GIS information during project design and maintenance.
