Spatial Technology Launch ISM MapView Web GIS

ISM MapView can access the specialist maps and data already used by an organisation and has all the tool functionality normally associated with an entry level GIS application, including pan, zoom, goto, location search, address search and print. It can be configured to work with pretty much any data resources that an organisation currently works with including PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, ESRI SDE and shape files, MapInfo tab files etc.
ISM MapView has been designed from the outset to include a very fast and efficient NLPG loader and search tool that enables all users across an organisation to use this increasingly popular address resource. New and prospective users of the NLPG such as the Fire and Rescue services can use ISM MapView to view and track down omissions and inconsistencies in their data as part of their migration to the NLPG.
Being browser based ISM MapView makes the need for additional high end GIS licenses unnecessary and it can be deployed right across an organisation’s intranet for less than £10K, a price that includes installation and maintenance for the first year. However for organisations wishing to extend these capabilities a clear upgrade path is available from ISM MapView to ISM Web. ISM Web is a more sophisticated web based application which delivers further GIS functionality and tools whilst maintaining the clear cost/performance advantage over full desk top systems.
“ISM MapView is a web based GIS application that is easy to deploy across an intranet. It is Google Maps-like in its simplicity but it is specifically tailored to your organisation, your maps and your data. The NLPG search facility is a great way for organisations to make the most of their data assets. Simple, intuitive and secure at a price that won’t break the bank, we think it is unique,” continued Rudd.
