UKMap Pricing Announced at AGI GeoCommunity Conference

UKMap is now available for purchase directly from The GeoInformation Group and announcements will be made in the near future about online delivery.

“UKMap offers a cost-effective and very usable integrated set of mapping data which is ideal for site based investigations and larger area studies. The ‘everything in one package’ concept means that data purchase is simple and quick which, in itself, is a cost-saver. It is extremely useful as the availability of the product is increased,” comments Jonathan Gatward of Enviros Consulting Limited.

A significant benefit of the new pricing and licensing is the simple format and open licence that comes with UKMap.  “Previously users of large scale mapping had to wade through pages and pages of legal gobbledygook to figure out what they can do, which is often not much. So we have taken a fresh approach and simplified the whole process,” said Dr Alun Jones, Managing Director of The GeoInformation Group.

The UKMap licence includes a first for large scale mapping users—the ability to collect their own data and keep it.  The Derived Data licence included with UKMap enables users to create their own content using UKMap as a base and retain that for their own use. This includes planning applications, routes, incident locations, sites of interest etc.

Full details of the UKMap pricing and licensing is available on the UKMap web site at www.theukmap.co.uk/buy
