ERDAS Participates in Interoperability Plugfest at FOSS4G Conference

CCIP provides an opportunity for companies to prove that their products are truly interoperable; that information requests are bug-free between servers and clients. This means that the products comply with open standards, and are not dependent upon any particular pairing of client and server. For example, any server that implements the Web Coverage Service (WCS) standard should communicate seamlessly with any client software that does the same. This process exposes issues with software, or with the standards themselves.

“ERDAS participated in this event to exemplify its strong backing for OGC standards, said Kaushik Chakraborty, Vice President, AP, ERDAS. “In addition, this event provided an opportunity to instill confidence in our customers that ERDAS software is truly interoperable with other software also implementing OGC standards.”

During FOSS4G, ERDAS is also demonstrating ERDAS APOLLO, showcasing how this unique enterprise solution was used in the CCIP scenarios. ERDAS APOLLO 2010 is customizable, equipped to fully understand, competently manage and rapidly serve an organization’s large volumes of geospatial data. ERDAS APOLLO implements an out-of-the box Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), that provides a publish, find and bind workflow for any data type. With a Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI), ERDAS

APOLLO provides an interactively connected framework to support the management and serving of spatial data, metadata and maps.
