To be included in the report, Greenstone had to demonstrate that its carbon management software meets Verdantix’s extensive functional criteria, that it is capable of meeting the requirements of firms with revenues of $1 billion or more and that it has a well-established customer base.
Verdantix reports that Greenstone is - a company that is “putting the heat on market leaders” through “razor-sharp focus on delivering on carbon management needs”, “achievement of best-in-class functionality in some areas” and “convincing carbon management domain expertise”.
According to the report; “Innovative firms like Greenstone were specifically founded to assist firms and public agencies with their carbon management strategies — this focus shows through in the impressive breadth and quality of the Greenstone software.”
The report also notes that, “The Greenstone SaaS solution is particularly strong on energy, emissions and sustainability data capture; the ability to define organizational models and adapt emissions reports to reflect business change; the internationally-scalable emissions calculation engine; and a growing set of carbon reduction analysis and project management tools.”
Matthew de Villiers, CEO at Greenstone Carbon Management comments, “We are delighted to be recognised in this Verdantix report which highlights the increasing client demand for carbon management software and identifies Greenstone as one of the software providers coming to the fore in addressing these needs. Given the UK’s leadership in compliance legislation and corporate reporting it has been particularly important for us to establish a strong foundation and client base in the UK. We find organisations are often daunted by the new carbon management requirements and lack the necessary information and decision support tools to address the emerging analysis, reporting and compliance demands. Carbon management software provides a comprehensive capability in managing this area and can yield real tangible benefits in addition to cost reductions and compliance. Greenstone works closely with its customers to enable them to be self sufficient in their carbon management requirements – providing both software tools and necessary advice. The combination of our leading Acco2unt software suite and specialist knowledge has helped a wide cross section of clients locally and globally for example, Fujitsu, Virgin, and Ocado.”
