Interdisciplinary Studentships in Sustainable Energy

Please download the Guidance for Applicants here.

PLEASE NOTE:

Eligibility depends on your academic qualifications, your educational history and your residential status in Great Britain. Please ensure that you meet all the criteria before submitting your application. Further details can be found in the Guidance.

Academic Qualifications
You must have, or expect to achieve by 30 September 2010, a good undergraduate degree (at least a 2:1) or a Master's degree from a UK university or the CNAA (MA degrees from Oxford and Cambridge and undergraduate degrees from Scottish universities do not fall within this definition of a Master's degree). The degree must be appropriate to the proposed area of study. Candidates holding overseas academic qualifications may be eligible providing these are equivalent to comparable UK qualifications.
Educational History
New studentships cannot be used to extend existing studentships.
Residential Eligibility
Residential eligibility is based on a physical presence in the UK. British citizenship in itself does not satisfy the residential eligibility requirement. You must at the date of application for a studentship have a “relevant connection” with Great Britain. You have a relevant connection if, at the date of application, the following conditions are met:
  • you have been ordinarily resident in the UK throughout the preceding three-year period
  • if you have not been resident in the UK during any part of that three-year period, it was wholly or mainly for the purposes of full time education
  • if you are not a British citizen, you must have settled status in the UK, i.e. you have been granted written permission to stay in the UK permanently.
EU nationals who are resident in the UK only need to follow the first criterion in the above list.
