LizardTech to Showcase Free GeoViewer Application for iPad at Conferences Next Week

The free GeoViewer application enables users to view data stored on the iPad. GeoViewer supports MrSID® and JPEG 2000 formats, and includes measurement functionality as well as geolocation support. It's also user friendly, with intuitive tools for band selection and coordinate display.

In addition, at the ILMF Conference, LizardTech will showcase the company's innovative application for compressing LiDAR files, LiDAR Compressor® software, which turns giant point cloud datasets into efficient MrSID® files. LiDAR files compressed to MrSID® format are easily managed resources from which derivatives can be extracted over and over again. Those not familiar with LiDAR Compressor are encouraged to attend the Basics to LiDAR workshop conducted by LizardTech's Software Architect, Michael S. Rosen. The workshop, titled "What's Our LiDAR Distribution Story," is on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m.

At the DGI Conference, LizardTech will be conducting demonstrations of GeoExpress® software, which enables geospatial professionals to compress and manipulate satellite and aerial imagery, Express Server® software for high-performance delivery and publication, and LiDAR Compressor.

"We're looking at a very busy week ahead, with two conferences that look promising both for the defense audience and the LiDAR mapping audience," said Jon Skiffington, director of product management. "We're confident that we will engage the attendees at both shows with great software products that most of our customers have relied on for years, as well as the latest free GeoViewer application for iPad."
