PROGRAMME & SPEAKERS 1) Welcome address by the UN-REDD Programme –Mr. José Antonio Prado, Director, Forest Management Division, Forestry Department, FAO  2) Opening remarks on Norway's International Forest and Climate Initiative – Mr. Nils Haugstveit, Norwegian Ambassador in Argentina PRESENTATIONS OBJECTIVES The main purpose of the side event is to showcase the UN-REDD  P ro gramme’s suppo rt to country efforts to get ready for REDD, and to develop requisite capacity for implementation as a response to the Bali Action Plan.
