- Created on January 27, 2010
SuperGIS Image Server, the large Image enterprise server software, is capable of managing images, on-the-fly image processing, and distributing large quantities of images. SuperGIS Image Server also enables users to obtain the data within the search area from the quantities of images on the server side.
The technologies of Image Pyramid, image streaming, and image compression offered by SuperGIS Image Server are able to transmit quantities of images to the client side in a short time; users no longer need to spend much time waiting for image download. Moreover, users can ask the server to transmit different image processing results of the specific images based on their needs to save the saving space and computing resource of the client side.
SuperGIS Desktop and SuperPad are going to provide the extension of SuperGIS Image Server. Users will be able to employ the built-in SuperGIS Image Server extension in SuperGIS Desktop or SuperPad, to connect to SuperGIS Image Server and obtain the images within the needed area. Users can also require the server to process the images and display the processed and obtained images on SuperGIS Desktop or SuperPad. Therefore, users can gain the images from the server and conveniently process the images online anytime. The use and value of the imagery can thus be maximized.
