Bentley Map Provides Extended Data Interoperability Through Integration With Safe Software's FME

Commenting on the importance of this new capability, Richard Zambuni, Bentley global marketing director, said, "Bentley Map, Bentley's flagship desktop GIS product, has a powerful reputation for natively handling heterogeneous data formats. With the new Bentley Map Extension for FME Desktop, users gain access to an even broader array of popular file formats, including CityGML and AutoCAD Civil 3D. In operation, users simply run FME Desktop concurrently with the new Bentley Map extension."

"Safe Software is committed to connecting users with the data they need," said Don Murray, president of Safe Software. "We look forward to seeing the innovative ways Bentley Map users will apply FME to solving their data interoperability challenges."

Bentley Map V8i (SELECTseries 1) is available today from Bentley Systems. For additional information about Bentley Map V8i, visit www.bentley.com/BentleyMap. To view a video about the Bentley Map Extension for FME Desktop, visit www.bentley.com/BentleyMap/FME.
