mb_cave.jpgI am a freelance writer, editor and co-founder of Vector1Media.com. The focus of this online publication is the advancement of spatial tools and thought for the creation of sustainable and livable communities.

I left my position as editor-in-chief of GeoWorld magazine and Show Manager of the GeoTec Event after ten years with GeoTec Media. GeoWorld magazine is the sole independent print publication in North America that covers the geospatial technology industry. The GeoTec Event is a yearly conference and trade show that’s the largest geospatial industry event in Canada.

Prior to joining GeoTec Media, I was the exhibits and marketing coordinator for the Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of America. While with this association I played an integral role in developing a sophisticated Web presence for this venerable institution.

Before moving to Colorado in 1990, I lived in New York City and worked as office manager at COOK’S Magazine, now known as COOK’S Illustrated. This top-notch food magazine continues to be an inspiration for its authoritative quality and strong connection to its readership.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Miami University and earned a magazine publishing diploma from New York University.
