Affordable Opportunities to Curb Carbon

McKinsey and Company has just released a new report called Pathways to a Low-Carbon Economy, detailing a number of significant measures that could be taken for as little as one percent of the global economy. The report aims to quantify the actions that would deliver the most cost effective means for emissions reduction. Their findings indicate that little steps could curb carbon and hold global warming below the 2 degrees Celsius threshold if we follow a path toward energy efficiency, low carbon energy supply, terrestrial carbon (forestry, agriculture) and behavioral change.

The free downloadable report goes into considerable detail about the measures that are needed, and warns that an aggressive global commitment is needed.
