Closing the Cycle

by Matt Ball on October 22, 2008

A new start-up called Carbon Sciences claims that they’ve cracked a means to create fuel from CO2. They’re working on a prototype to convert CO2 immediately into a flammable fuel, with plans to locate production next to a source such as a coal-fired power plant or oil refinery. The initiative holds great promise to close the cycle by sucking up some of the CO2 that our fossil fuels are emitting.

There’s exciting promise in such technology, and you can read more about such efforts in Autopia.
