Edmonton Ponders Pedal Paths

The City of Edmonton is considering a $100 million investment over ten years for a system of multi-use trails and bicycle paths. The plan is before council now and is being debated as a means to better connect people and communities, to get people out of their cars and to practice more energy efficient living. The path would greatly encourage this practice, and would ensure greater safety than simply bike lanes on existing roads.
