I love futuristic and far-out ideas for harnessing technology for a more sustainable future, particularly if it includes a geo component. I just read of a curious aerial mobile garden concept on the Pruned blog, where dirigibles suspend a growing garden that moves about the city to provide shade, oxygen, and humidity to greenless hot spots throughout the city. The best part of the concept is that these islands of green would move dynamically to places controlled via GPS and GIS information.
