Bloomberg has broken the story that Marissa Meyer, Google’s VP of search products, is set to take over location and location services. You may have seen Mayer recently when she launched the company’s new search capability called Instant last month. Mayer has been with the company since 1999, and takes on a new role on the company’s operating committee with this new appointment.
