There are now three new ways to do a Google search, including viewing your results on a map. Check out Google’s latest search ideas here. The alternative views for search results experiment also provides a timeline view and the ability to see additional information.
The map-based view is more than the standard business address window, it pops up a large-scale map that let’s you zero in on the location with the most relevance to your subject matter.
This project from Google Labs also gives you an opportunity to fill out a survey with your feedback.

When was this announced? Is it new? I heard about it last year…
Perhaps the discussion about this option is old news, but the test site appears to be new. It is being widely reported as news today in the mainstream press.
