The newly opened Gallery of California History at the Oakland Museum opened with detailed maps and documents about “The California Land Grab.” There’s an exciting use of multi-touch mapping for this exhibit with a screen that can accommodate up to 60 simultaneous touch points. The following video illustrates two people accessing the map at the same time, but there can obviously be more. The size of the screen and the level of detail will likely make for some interesting interaction with multiple individuals exploring the maps at once.
Thanks to @vinbrown for the tip.
