Korean Green City from Scratch

by Matt Ball on November 12, 2008

Korea is transferring administrative functions from Seoul to the new Sejong Multifunctional Administrative City, located 100 miles to the south. The transfer began in 2007, and will take approximately 30 years, making it the largest construction project in Asia.

As part of this transfer, there are now plans for a Medical Science Green City at a cost of roughly $3 billion. The green medical complex is one of many green projects in this new master plan that’s being developed to “decentralize and harmonize” the federal government.

Read more about this ambitious project here or visit the official website here.

The most important and interesting urban development which I now consider, around the globe. As an architect, I´ll be following the aspects through their course.
