There’s a detailed map of county-by-county totals for the New Hampshire primaries on the Washington Post website. It looks like this will be an ongoing feature as the primary campaign continues.
The interface is simple and informative. I found it interesting that Clinton and Obama both had five first place and five second place finishes, but Clinton had more overall votes. On the republican side, McCain had 9 first-place finishes and one second-place finish, while the reverse was true for Romney, with one first-place finish and nine second-place finishes.
I’ll be sure stay tuned to the Washington Post’s The Trail online election-tracking feature throughout the primary season. They have a number of excellent insights here, and this mapping application really adds to the understanding of the dynamics of each state.
