The New York Times has an excellent interactive map that displays the impact of Cyclone Nargis. The before and after satellite shots without cloud cover provide a great tool to assess the impact. It’s easy to jump back and forth between these views, and there are a few areas of greater detail that place before and after images side by side. There’s also an interesting satellite shot that you can scroll over to see before and after changes.
One again, the New York Times successfully uses mapping tools to enhance a story.

I found some excellent material on Relief Web – http://serendipityoucity.blogsome.com/2008/05/07/nargis/
They have NASA images and many more maps, data and images available from numerous aid, mapping and remote sensing shops who assess, prepare and deliver aid and humanitarian assistance.
