Pope Links Greed to Global Warming

At World Youth Day in Sydney, Australia this week, Pope Benedict XVI linked the world’s “insatiable hunger” for consumption to rising sea levels and droughts.

“When God is eclipsed our ability to recognise the natural order, purpose and the ‘good’ begins to wane. What was ostensibly promoted as human ingenuity soon manifests itself as folly, greed and selfish exploitation.”

The catholic church also called on all western nations to make more babies. But that won’t adversely affect the climate.
