Researchers at Arizona State University have received a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to harness NASA satellite data to detect ozone pollution. The technique uses ASU’s exising computer models augmented with satellite data for oceans and undeveloped countries that lack advanced monitoring capabilities.
The new satellite-assisted model will allow researchers to see an ozone plume forming, giving them time to warn communities of adverse health effects in advance. Read more on Science Daily.
