Sustainable Infrastructure Research Gets Boost in Canada

Canada has committed an additional $4 million to the sustainable infrastructure technology cluster in Regina, Saskatchewan. The investment is seen as a positive move for jobs in the region, for innovative solutions, and for greater collaboration between researchers and local firms.

The NRC-IRC Centre for Sustainable Infrastructure Research (CSIR) is focused on water and wastewater infrastructure and decision modelling. One interesting project is to quantify the social cost of infrastructure repair.
