In response to the call from scientists for more Arctic imagery this morning, the U.S. Geological Survey created the Global Fiducials Program, a collaborative effort between Federal Civil Agencies, Academia, and the Intelligence Community. The GFL Website provides access to 699 Arctic Sea Ice Images and more than 500 images from 22 sites in the US. Most of these sites were the work of MEDEA. You can now view the imagery at http://gfl.usgs.gov
