UW Contemplates College of Environment

The University of Washington is currently considering the creation of a College of the Environment. The new college would align the disciplines of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Earth and Space Sciences, Marine Affairs, Oceanography and Forest Resources.

The blending of disciplines in happening elsewhere, and students are more apt to combine multi-disciplinary studies these days. The new alignment would tackle the key issues of climate, water, energy, global environment, ecosystem health, conservation and urbanization, and the human dimension of the environment.
